1 Day
Course Overview
This one-day training course is an extension of our Steam Boiler Operator - Foundation course, and aimed at staff dealing with ongoing basic boiler routines and maintenance. Training is carried out on site and by a water treatment specialist using customer equipment to ensure appropriate training is given. It includes recommended preventative maintenance regimes as well as building on key foundation skills already obtained through our C&G training.

It is recommended that delegates have previously undertaken our Steam Boiler Operator - Foundation (SB1) course, or similar.

Practical Boiler Operator Training

This course provides you with boiler operator certification to support HSE recommendations as identified in HSE guidance document INDG 436 and BG01 for safe operation of steam boilers, by supporting a person’s competence when operating a steam boiler. It also includes; operation, daily/weekly routine maintenance, health & safety, and legislation

Note: It is recommended that candidates take a refresher course after 3 years to receive re-certification, as advised by City & Guilds.

Safe Working Practices
Safe working practices enforced in this practical workshop session support and help to confirm operational competence, unless proof of site operational competence testing is available. This hands-on training is aimed at staff dealing with daily and weekly routines, features question and answer sessions, and includes ongoing basic boiler maintenance. It also includes recommended preventative maintenance regimes and builds on the key foundation skills already obtained on the Steam Boiler Operator - Foundation course.

All training can be provided on site and tailored to your steam boilers. Training attendance certificates are issued on successful completion of the course.
