Steam Boiler Operator - Foundation (SB1)

Please contact us for details
1 Day
Course Overview
The boiler operator course covers steam principles and boiler operation in the form of a presentation; a multiple choice test to confirm an understanding of the course; the principal operation of controls and test equipment (using customer’s own boiler where possible); and an observational assessment using test papers.

Our Steam Boiler Operator training course supports compliance with BG01 Edition 2 (SAFed) and HSE INDG-436.

We recommend that where delegates require practical familiarisation with steam boiler best practise, our Steam Boiler Operator - Safe Working Practices course is booked in conjunction with this course.

This course provides your boiler operator certification to support HSE boiler operator recommendations as identified in HSE guidance document INDG 436 and BG01 for safe operation of steam boilers, by supporting a person’s competence when operating a steam boiler. It also includes; operation, daily/weekly routine maintenance, health & safety and legislation

Note: It is recommended that candidates take a refresher course after 3 years to receive re-certification, as advised by City & Guilds.
