Course Message
The City & Guilds 2394, 2395 and earlier 2391-10 courses have been combined in to the new "City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations" course which reduces the training period from 12 days to 7 days rather than completing both courses separately.
Select the button below to view dates for this combined course or close this window and contact us if you would like to speak to a representative.
This City & Guilds accredited course will enable you to understand and demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to carry out periodic inspection and testing in accordance with the requirements of Part 6 of BS7671. This will include the completion of electrical installation condition reports following periodic inspection and testing of existing installations.
Who is This Course For?
This is aimed at qualified electricians who need to carry out periodic inspection, testing and certification of existing installations as part of their work. Delegates should have already
completed a 17th Edition course, and be familiar with Guidance Note 3. PPL also strongly recommend having practical experience of inspection and testing prior to attending this course.
Key Learning Areas
Requirements for inspecting, testing and recording circuit condition
Requirements for the periodic inspection of electrical installations
Requirements for safe testing of electrical installations which have been placed in service
Requirements for testing before circuits are energised and testing energised installations
Understanding and interpreting test results
Requirements for completion of electrical installation condition reports and associated documents
Assessment includes practical exercises, and a two hour written exam. Delegates who do not hold a 2394 certificate will also need to complete an online multiple-choice exam (City & Guilds exam and assessment fees included in the course price)
