  • F-Gas Category 2 covers equipment with a charge of less than 3kg (6kg if hermetically sealed).
  • F-Gas Category 3 covers refrigerant recovery from stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment.
  • F-Gas Category 4 covers leak checking of stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment.
Q: Does the F-gas qualification expire?
A: Because our courses are City & Guilds 2079 they do not expire and therefore do not require a refresher course
Q: What does F-Gas stand for?
A: F-Gas stands for Fluorinated Gases.
Q: What types of F-Gases are there?
A: There are four types of F-Gases (Fluorinated Gases) including hydrofluorocarbons(HFCs) perfluorocarbons (PFCs), sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) and nitrogen trifluoride (NF3).
