Course Overview
Understand the risk of Legionella bacteria within an evaporative cooling tower system with our one day City & Guilds Assured course. This Legionella awareness course will provide you with the knowledge of how bacteria proliferate within evaporative cooling systems and the monitoring requirements needed for its control. Our experienced training team will guide you through the appropriate ways of monitoring the systems effectively and in accordance with Legionnaires' Disease Technical Guidance HSG274 Part 1, Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 and other relevant guidance documents.

This theory based course will not only help you develop an understanding of the systems which pose the highest risks but also to how correctly document them.
Who is This Course For?
Our course has been designed for engineers and technicians who are looking for an understanding of Legionella within evaporative cooling systems along with the associated guidance documents to ensure compliance. Documents which will be covered in this course includes: the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP L8) and BS8580 (Water Quality. Risk Assessments for Legionella Control Code of Practice).

Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded a City & Guilds accredited certificate which provides formal recognition of your skills and knowledge.
