Course Overview
Gain an understanding of why water systems require close monitoring, forming the Water Hygiene Written Scheme of control for your site/building with our 1-day theory and practical based training course. This course will provide you with the knowledge to perform water system tasks in a safe and effective manner. This course is designed to align with statutory requirements and the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP L8) and HSG274 part 2.
Who is This Course For?
Our course will support those working within: maintenance, technician, building caretaker and operator roles. It is also suitable for those who carry out temperature monitoring, water sampling, shower head cleaning, flushing and inspections of hot and cold water services as part of the Written Scheme of Control. This course can also be beneficial to managers and supervisors for an insight into these water safety tasks.

Richard has worked in the water industry for over 15 years. His background covers the areas of water hygiene and plumbing, as well as teaching. He brings with him a wealth of teaching experience, gained at two high schools, and more recently through training consultancy work. Further to teaching, Richard worked as a plumber for 5 years. He accomplished himself in social housing, private residential, and commercial environments, before entering into the Water Hygiene sector. Richard has recent experience and expertise within this sector, working as a training consultant for the previous 8 years. He has provided clients with informative tuition and risk assessments, covering NHS properties, Care Homes, Leisure Centres, Residential and Commercial buildings.
