Course Overview
On successful completion of this BPEC accredited course you will be able to apply to be an approved contractor for water regulation purposes. This means that you can self-certify your plumbing work and also work for housing associations and other various non-government bodies. You will also be able to join the WIAPS Approved Plumbers Scheme providing you hold other relevant certificates.

You must place your booking 14 days before the start date of the course.
Who is This Course For?
This course is aimed at practising plumbers working to water regulation requirements. It covers the knowledge required to be assessed on the BPEC Water Regulation certificate.

He ran his own business in the trade for 9 years. He is a qualified Certificate in Education practitioner and has been teaching and assessing in the life-long learning sector for 10 years.

Kevin Hook

Senior Water Hygiene Training Consultant

Kevin has over 45 years experience in the plumbing and heating industry, as well as over 18 years teaching experience. He began his career as an apprentice and has worked his way up through various plumbing and heating companies. After successfully establishing himself as a plumber, Kevin moved into managing installations at Dolphin Bathroom Ltd before becoming a Project Manager at Wilson & Wright Ltd. Kevin has worked at various training companies as a tutor before joining PPL Training in 2007.

Q: Is this course the same as the Water Byelaws course?
A: These courses cover the Water Supply Regulations 1999 (England and Wales) and the Water Byelaws 2014 (Scotland). There are two separate manuals, one for England / Wales and one for Scotland. We provide dates for our Water Regulations course however Scottish Byelaws training is available on request.
