UPDATE: Access to Our Malton Avenue Centre from Monday 13th February

We have been informed of roadworks that will affect access to our Malton Avenue centre, part of our Slough Campus. These will be put in place as soon as Monday, 13th February and will last up to 6 weeks.

In a letter to PPL Training, Durkin and Sons, working on behalf of Slough Heating and Power, wrote:

...We are currently installing new underground electricity cables to between substations.

For the safety of road-users and our engineering teams, we will be working on Malton Avenue. The works will be from the Leigh Road to just past Berwick Avenue. The work will be done under a road closure, with a traffic light system for access into Berwick Avenue. This will take approximately 6 weeks, beginning on 13th February 2023.

We appreciate that this project may impact on your usual routine and would like to apologise in advance if this is the case.

Works will be phased, with access to Berwick Avenue controlled by traffic lights. The entrance to Malton Avenue nearest the Premier Inn, where our delegates often stay, is expected to be heavily congested during phase 2, and inaccessible during phase 1.

It is therefore suggested that delegates use Yarmouth Road to access our centre via car if required. This can be accessed just off of Buckingham Avenue. Diversion signs will be in place.

We can only apologise for any inconvenience caused during this 6 week period, and will be making amendments to all Joining Instructions and other communications for the duration of the works.
