Course Overview
This City & Guilds Assured course provides the necessary information for you to understand the duties and responsibilities of the Duty Holder and appointed Competent Responsible Person. It will cover the supervision, effective implementation and management of Legionella risk assessments, along with remedial work and management of water systems within buildings to help you comply with Approved Code of Practice L8.

We also offer this course as a online remote training course.

A: There is no requirement to sit the Legionella Awareness course if you sit both the Legionella Management and Legionella Control within Hot and Cold Water Systems training course.

A: The duty holder is an employer or person in control of a premises for example a landlord. The duty holder is also responsible for appointing the responsible person.
Q: What is the responsible person?
A: This is someone who is appointed by the duty holder and has the day-to-day responsibility for managing and controlling risks from legionella bacteria.
Q: What regulations does this course cover?
A: This course covers the HSE ACOP L8 legislations, whilst briefly covering HTM 04-01. If you plan to work within the healthcare environment we advise you take our Legionella in Healthcare courses.
