Safeguarding Your Return to Training

Following a lengthy period of lockdown, we are pleased to be able to showcase our plans for the reopening of our training centres. This includes the completion of the company COVID-19 Risk Assessment that details the measures we are implementing to protect everyone involved. We would like to thank all of our customers for their patience in these difficult times, and it goes without saying that the health and safety of our clients and staff are at the forefront of our COVID-19 policy.

Reopening

Following the guidance issued by the government on the 11th / 12th May 2020, the decision has been made to re-open our training centres for Non-residential (no hotels) courses, week commencing 22nd June 2020, and our normal portfolio of residential courses will commence from 6th July 2020 (hotels intend to re-open 4 July 2020, however, this is subject to change). Whilst we deliver in Glasgow and Falkirk these are 3rd party arrangements which currently remain closed until further notice.

Revised Training Programme

A revised programme will be released in order to fulfil postponed dates and take into account the limited classroom numbers. Existing clients who have been affected will be contacted as early as possible to make the relevant arrangements.

Safeguarding Your Return

Buildings / Facilities An app is being introduced to inform and make all visitors to the centre aware of the controls within the building. This includes delegate sign in, a health declaration and staggered course times / breaks. Classrooms Classrooms have been rearranged to ensure effective social distancing, which has reduced delegate numbers to a maximum of 6 (York) and 8 (Slough), however, this occupancy is also dictated by the physical size of the room. Clear desk policy, use of gloves and cleaning of IT equipment will be implemented. Practical Areas All practical exercises will be carried out singular, maintaining 2m distancing with delegate traffic continually monitored. PPE will be considered if necessary. Courses will be split across buildings for better social distancing and all test / practical equipment used to be sanitised before and after use. Shared Areas Toilets shall be deep cleaned daily and use restricted to one user only. All staff/ delegates using the toilets must observe meticulous standards of personal hygiene. Any table used for refreshments will be wiped down after every use and social distancing requirements are to be maintained in kitchen areas. Removal of ceramic mugs - paper cups and individual coffee/tea etc provided instead. Gloves to be worn by staff replenishing stock. Drinking water dispensers to be sanitised at least daily. Infection Control The offices and classrooms shall be deep cleaned every night. Staff All staff are fully aware of the virus, the symptoms, the requirement to self-monitor and the need for social distancing. All staff know, and accept, the actions to be taken should they experience any symptoms personally, observe them in a colleague or observe/ receive a report from a delegate/ associate.
