The National Healthcare Estates & Facilities Day is back for 2024!
In 2022 a group of like-minded organisations (inset) launched this new national day, which is now celebrated annually.
In 2023, a massive 563 healthcare organisations from all over the UK registered to support the day.
This represented an amazing 280,000 estates & facilities staff.
This initiative has been met with widespread approval and support from the NHS national bodies, colleagues throughout NHS hospital Trusts and Health Boards, commercial providers and supply chain partners.
And this year, we’re excited to contribute!
This year’s celebration is held on Wednesday, 19th June
This will be an occasion for us to publicly recognise the work of you, the UK’s Healthcare Estates & Facilities heroes!
What Will We Be Doing?
At both the HEFMA Leadership Forum 2024 (9th - 10th May) and the IHEEM Wales National Conference (28-29th May) we will be giving those in attendance the opportunity to nominate their own Healthcare Estates and Facilities Heroes.
In the spirit of Awards season, we will be gathering nominations at these events for the somewhat 'unsung' heroes of the UK's Healthcare Estates and Facilities teams.
This will be done in one of 2 ways:
- Complete a paper form available in delegate bags, or at our exhibition stand.
- Complete the online form available at this link or by visiting our stand and using our touch screen on hand.
We want you to tell us:
- Who deserves to be highlighted?
- What do they do that's great?
These nominations can range from an Authorised Person who goes above and beyond to ensure safe working practices are adhered to... To your Learning and Development Officer for their contributions to your career development... To your Domestic services staff member who ensures that your wards and communal areas are kept neat, tidy and infection free.
Or, anyone in between!
As a thank you for your nomination, we will plant a tree on UK soil through our environmental partners Ecologi.
Nominations made in person, at our stand at these events will also receive an extra special gift to say thank you for your support!
We will then select 5 lucky winners at random from all submissions on Wednesday, 19th June to celebrate National Healthcare Estates and Facilities Day.
These lucky winners will each receive vouchers worth £50 to spend with The British Heart Foundation.
These can be spent at any British Heart Foundation store.
