Course Overview
The IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) align with European Commission (EC) standards and serve as the essential guidelines for the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems in the UK's electrical industry. Recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS 7671), these regulations establish operating criteria and requirements.

As a City & Guilds Approved Centre, we provide electrotechnical qualifications such as this one, designed to ensure individuals are well-versed in understanding and applying the Requirements for Electrical Installations as outlined in BS 7671:2018, helping them demonstrate and achieve professional competence and confidence in their field.

City & Guilds, in collaboration with key players in the electrical sector such as NICEIC and ECA, crafted this qualification, which is also supported by employers within the industry.
Who is This Course For?
This qualification is designed mainly for working electricians who have relevant experience, as well as for other professionals such as surveyors, consultants, and workers in other trades who need to improve their knowledge of the IET Wiring Regulations. This qualification is ideal for anyone who wants to show they understand the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

It allows candidates to progress into employment or to the following City & Guilds qualifications:

• City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification (2392-10)
• City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing (2391-52)
